That’s the tagline—but it’s also our compass. Hosted was never just about clever home tips or printable checklists (although we’ll share those too). It started with something more personal: the decision to open our home, to share it with others, and to make that experience as thoughtful as the spaces we create.
We’re Jessica and Jeremy, co-founders of Bliss Media Studio and the creators behind Hosted. We’ve spent our careers in digital strategy, product development, and user experience. For years, we helped tech companies build better tools, more seamless systems, and smarter workflows. But when we joined the HomeExchange platform, we suddenly became on the other side of the experience.
We weren’t building for clients anymore.
We were building for guests.
From Printouts to QR Codes
As we prepared for our first guest, we did what many new hosts do—we typed up a welcome guide in Word. Check-in instructions, house quirks, our favorite local coffee shops. It was fine. But every time we updated it, we had to reprint it.
We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built one.
Using tools we already knew and loved—WordPress, QR code generators, mobile-friendly design—we created a digital guest experience. Guests could scan a code and instantly access everything from how to work the home theater to where to find the best powder day at the nearby ski resorts. No app is required, and there is no paper waste. Most importantly, there is no stress for our guests.
Building Something Bigger Than Our Own Stay
It didn’t take long for us to realize: what we were creating wasn’t just for us.
We started thinking about all the other hosts like us:

We weren’t experts in short-term rental management. But we are experts in designing systems, crafting user-friendly experiences, and solving real-life friction points with practical tools.
So we created Hosted—a platform for anyone who wants to make hosting smoother, smarter, and more human.
